From Hidden Valleys to the Open Sea for Chamber Orchestra was commissioned by The Manning Winter Festival in 2016. It conveys the beauty of the Manning Region, following the flight of a bird from Barrington Tops all the way through hidden valleys, to the opening of the river mouth where the water flows into the ocean.

In 2019, Tallowdale Music collaborated with FilmWorks Media to produce the short nature film, From Hidden Valleys, which uses Billingham's original music as its soundtrack, with stunning cinematic drone footage of the Manning Valley. This innovative project brought to life the composer's inspiration, to portray the sights and sounds of the majestic Manning with a bird's eye view, taking the viewer on a journey from the heights of Barrington Tops to the spectacular ocean's entrance.
